Teflon and durability is the biggest marketing ploy. Teflon coating on cooking pan provides more durable surface and lasts long. Thus, mistakenly people associate word teflon for durability and longet lasting shine or gloss. So, people think that if product has teflon it will provide longer protection. Please note that teflon has to be heated to about 700 degree F to melt to bond. No detailer does that. Product advertizing containing teflon may be excellent for other reasons and they could be good products, but that is not because of teflon. Fine teflon powders may provide some nice polishing and smooth feeling to a touch, that is the extent of its performance.

If you have put a good coat of wax and a paint sealant, then it is advisable to use detail spray after every wash such as Allbrite's Show Shine or Extra Slick Show Shine. Use of Show Shine will help to maintain good shine and replenish thin coat of wax and silicone protection. Then use a wax or a glaze, such as Allbrite's Fast Finish or Fast Glaze or Clear Coat Wax every 3 month to add more shine to your car.
